
Executive Leadership
The following individuals play critical roles in maintaining Prolexic’s leadership position in the DDoS monitoring and mitigation business:
Scott Hammack – Chief Executive OfficerMr. Hammack joined Prolexic in 2011 and brings a wealth of experience managing and growing start-up and publicly held companies. Most recently Scott was CEO of e-dmz, which was acquired by Quest Software in 2011. Previously, he has served as CEO of Cyberguard Corporation, which was acquired by Secure Computing in 2004, and CEO of MasterChart, Inc., which was purchased by Allscripts in 2001. Scott is a graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in biomedical engineering.
Stuart Scholly – PresidentMr. Scholly joined Prolexic in 2011 and brings more than 20 years of technology and product management experience. Prior to joining Prolexic, Stuart was chief operating officer at Physicians Interactive. He has also held senior leadership positions in product management and business development at Allscripts. Stuart won the 2010 Spotlight Award from the Illinois Technology Association, awarded to the CTO/CIO for leadership and outstanding contributions in the application of information technology. Mr. Scholly received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Economics and English from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Paul Sop – Chief Technology OfficerMr. Sop has more than 20 years of technology leadership experience in information security. Paul is a globally recognized authority on cyber-attacks and is a sought after speaker and advisor to Fortune 100 organizations. Prior to joining Prolexic, Paul founded several successful Internet and security companies including Golden Triangle Online, a leading ISP in Canada, Intellitactics, a market leader in security information management and RedWolf Security, which is focused on realistic insider threat simulation. Paul studied computer science, electronics, mathematics and business at Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo.
Gus Cunningham – Chief Operating OfficerMr. Cunningham has more than 20 years of technology, marketing, sales and operations experience with high-tech companies. He joined Prolexic in 2006 and has held a variety of sales, marketing and operations roles and was appointed COO in 2008. Prior to Prolexic, Gus worked for Savvis Inc. and Globix Corporation in London, U.K. and has also held leadership positions in the petrochemical and pharmaceutical processing industry. Gus is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Engineering.
Michael E. Donner – Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing OfficerMr. Donner has more than 20 years of marketing, inside sales and demand generation experience with high-tech companies. Prior to engaging with Prolexic, he ran a consulting company and served as the interim head of marketing for Thales e-Security and IntelliDOT Corporation. He has also held executive roles at Capgemini, Eclipsys Corporation and Telelogic AB. Michael has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing, Management and International Business from Babson College.
Rudy Cifolelli – Senior Vice President, SalesMr. Cifolelli has more than 20 years of sales and management experience with high-tech companies. Prior to Prolexic, Rudy was with McAfee and held several sales and executive positions including VP North American Data Protection Sales. Prior to McAfee, Rudy was president of SafeBoot Corporation which was sold to McAfee in 2007. Rudy is a graduate of Ferris State University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems.
Neal Quinn – Vice President of OperationsMr. Quinn brings 14 years of experience in networking, Internet backbone design, and managed services to Prolexic. Prior to joining Prolexic in 2008, Neal launched his own consulting firm serving businesses and public sector teams in the U.K. and U.S and before that, he served as network architect for Globix Corporation. Neal has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physics from Johns Hopkins University and is a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert.
Greg Burns – Vice President of Sales Mr. Burns joined Prolexic in September 2008 in the role of vice president of Sales and Marketing. Previously Greg held senior management positions in service and technology-related businesses, including Rain Bird Corporation where he was responsible for starting and growing a new business division. Greg a has degree in Engineering from Lafayette College and an MBA from The University of Notre Dame.
Gene Engelhart – Vice President of FinanceMr. Engelhart brings more than 30 years of finance, operations, and services experience to Prolexic, which he joined in 2006. In his current position, Gene is responsible for all financial statements, human resources, payroll process management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense control and asset reconciliation Prior to joining Prolexic, Gene spent 38 years with Sears, Roebuck & Co. in finance and operations. Gene has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hofstra University.
Louis Suchy – Vice President of Research and DevelopmentMr. Suchy has more than 10 years of experience in software architecture and technology engineering. Prior to Prolexic, Louis was executive director of Development for Kaplan Higher Education. Louis has a degree in Information Systems Management and an MBA from Kaplan University.
